Synopsis
Most people dream about getting out of Sharon, Nebraska, but after three years away, Lauren Barrett is coming home. There are the justifications she gives to everyone else—missing her family, losing her college scholarship. And then there’s the reason Lauren can’t admit to anyone: Rob Conrad, her best friend’s older brother.
Football prowess and jaw-dropping good looks made Rob a star in high school. Out in the real world, his job and his relationships are going nowhere. He can’t pinpoint exactly what’s missing until Lauren comes back to town, bringing old feelings and new dreams with her. But he’s the guy that women love and leave—not the one who makes them think of forever.
Though she’s terrified of opening up, Lauren’s ready to take that chance. Because the only thing more important than figuring out where you truly belong is finding the person you were meant to be with.

My Review
I really liked this book! Being true to who you are despite
what others might think of you. Standing up for other women even though they
are kind of Bitchy….sometimes there are reasons. Not judging a book by its cover. Supporting
someone you love even though it might hurt.
These are all reasons why this book was so great!
There are several story lines happening in this book. The
main one being between Lauren & Rob. Lauren is a college dropout who came
back home to live with her mom. She is not bothered in the least what the small
town thinks of her, she knows she is right where she belongs. Rob never left
the small town he grew up in. He works construction and he honestly feels like
he is not the sharpest tool in the box despite how fucking hot he is. Lauren
has always had a crush on her best friends brother, Rob, and when she moves
back home they strike up a friendship. This book tells their story of
friendship that develops into love. The problem is, sometimes we have to let
the ones we love the most go.
I LOVED Rob! What a sweetheart! There was NEVER a douchey
moment from him. It is refreshing to read about a really great, sexy as sin, standup
guy! Lauren was awesome too! She is strong and independent even though she is
dealing with some tough issues, she never complains or whines and cries. She
takes the high road A LOT! Expect for this one time……and it was Hilarious! This
book had me laughing, crying and clinching my thighs due to the sexual tension
between the two. Holy HOTNESS BATMAN!
If you are looking for a break in the norm, something NOT
dark, something sweet and romantic and swoon worthy, then I would DEFINITELY
recommend As Long As You Love Me.
