"Will you marry me?"

Most women would love for Luke Walters to ask that question. But when Misty Handlin can’t seem to find the right answer, Luke offers a new proposal.

"Go sow your wild oats this summer, then give me your answer."

Knowing she’s struggling with the unanswered questions regarding her first love, Misty decides to do just that. Maybe some time with the man who stole her heart all those years ago will finally quell whatever is holding her back from Luke.

Kellin Patel was forced to leave Misty behind when he was twelve years old. While the U-Haul pulled away from the only place that felt like a home, he wasn’t sure if he’d see her again. As the years went by, and time never seemed to be on his side, he finally began to accept he would never have another chance with Misty.

Now, all grown up, Misty is back and looking for one last wild summer with Kellin. Though their lives have continued to move in opposite directions, they’ll realize one thing has Always remained the same: They’ve both been holding on to the memory of first love and unspoken regret.

Who will Misty choose to spend Forever with?

*This is a New Adult novel. Recommended for 17+.
Always Forever is a companion novel to Sometimes Never, but can be read as a stand-alone book.
“He doesn’t love you,” Kellin breathes. “I know because he let you go.” He stalks forward and I back up instinctively. His voice is gentle—but his words, his demeanor, and the heat in his eyes are not. My back hits the wall, halting my retreat. He stops less than an inch away from me, his heaving chest skimming mine with each of his breaths. “Because if he was really in love with you, the thought of you being with anyone else would break his heart.” He closes his eyes as if cutting me off from view. “And I know that because the thought of you going back to him is killing me.” He shakes his head slowly, his expression pained. “I die a little more each day knowing my time is running out and you’ll be gone in less than two months.”

My Review
Always Forever can be read as a standalone, but is a part of the Sometimes Never series. I have read the other books in the series, but YOU don’t have to in order to read and enjoy Always Forever.

Always Forever starts out with a proposal. Just not the one you want. It’s never a good sign when you don’t know if you should say yes or not. This is Misty’s problem. Her boyfriend asks and she hesitates ß NOT GOOD. He loves her though and suggests that maybe she should take the summer to “sow her oats” ßagain, NOT GOOD. Misty says yes! To the proposal, of taking the summer. She has some unresolved feelings for someone from her past.

Kellin is the WORST at finding a good girlfriend. The only one he has ever wanted, he pushed away (over a misunderstanding). This leads him to date ‘wrong’ girls at every turn. Case in point, his current *cough* former girlfriend just broke up with him (by cheating with her ex) right before they were supposed to go on a summer trip.

In walks Misty, the girl that got away. Now is Kellin’s opportunity to right the wrongs that he made as a teenager. She and her friend decide to take the trip with Kellin to see if there if the unresolved feelings can be resolved and if Misty can finally say “YES” to her boyfriend, or if Kellin really is the one for her.

This is a great read! Lots of chemistry between Kellin & Misty. I really like books that explore friends to lover’s type relationships. It’s obvious that the two have very deep feelings for one another, but the communication between the two is just terrible! Finally when you think it’s all going to work out the way you want…..another monkey wrench is thrown into the equation.

I got all the feels from this story. Sweet, swoony and simply lovely.  Kellin is sexy as hell and Misty is adorable. They make the cutest couple! Will they be able to get over the past and be together? Or will the past come back and rip them apart?

There aren’t many certainties in life. We all get old, fat and wrinkly – if we’re lucky enough to live that long. And then someday we die. I want to old, fat and wrinkly with you – my best friend. I don’t want to die someday, knowing I didn’t do everything in my power to make that possible.” - Kellin

If you love friends to lover’s stories then I would highly recommend Always Forever.
