Let me start by saying that I loved each of the books in the Unbreakable series, but I loved each of them differently. I think that's the best part about this series. Each book feeds off the others, but it's still it's own book with it's own story.
Rebecca's writing is strong. She wrote this book knowing exactly where her characters would end up and it was evident. Not once did I feel like the character was written to be "pushed" in a different direction. They stayed true to themselves and that was because of Rebecca. She kept the story strong and intriguing.
I first fell in love with Lindsay in Unbreakable, but even then knew there was more to her story than what was told. I then got to know her a little better in Undone, but even then I knew there was so much more. We get all of it in Unbreakable. All. Of. It.
Lindsay is a character that I love. She's strong, but vulnerable. She has demons, but she knows it, and when it comes time to admit it, she does...fully!
And Matt...oh Matt. That man knows how to love. He loves Lindsay more than she loved herself and because of that he let her go when he shouldn't have...
"I don't know what our futures hold, but every time I try to envision mine, you're a part of it. In my dreams, you're the one I wake up next to every morning, and go to sleep with every night. You're the one rocking my babies to sleep and holding my hand when I'm an old man. It's always been you. It will always be you."
I'm sad to see this story end. I fell in love with each character in each book and wish they could all live forever in every book that Rebecca writes, but I'm able to say goodbye with a happy heart. Thanks for that Rebecca!
